Photo of Honda CRV Driveshaft Honda produced two models of drivetrain for the CRV. One was a front wheel drive, which does not use a propeller shaft. The other was an AWD model that does use a propeller shaft. This page is describes the two piece rear AWD Honda CRV Drive shaft.

There are 4 different drive shafts for various years all the way from 1997-2015. All have different in lengths and center supports.

Driveline vibration at speeds of 40-60 mph is very common on this vehicle as a result U joint and center support bearing failure. High quality Drive shaft replacement is important for the correct function of this vehicle.

Honda CRV Driveshaft Design

The CRV has a single rear two piece driveshaft. It incorporates a center support in the middle of the driveline next to a CV joint. There are two U-Joints mounted to flanges in the front and rear.

Our Honda CRV drive shaft is made by state of the art machinery and with heavy duty materials. It is an OEM Fitment and is built to last. The center support bearing is improved for long lasting operation and vibration free design. On the early models the shaft is redesigned to accommodate replaceable U joints. This gives you the advantage of being able to replace just the joint itself in case of a failure, and not the whole driveline.

Replacement Parts

All replacement parts, such as U-joints and center support bearings, are available from us at low cost. Replacing these parts is something you may want to consider in case of a future breakdown after the warranty ends, and it is something the competition may not be able to help you with.
