GMC S15 Jimmy Drive Shaft or propeller shaft is the mechanical component that transmits torque and rotation between the transmission/transfer case and the differential. The GMC S15 Jimmy Driveshaft is a carrier of torque – it is subject to torsion and sheer stress. It must therefore be strong enough to bear the stress, while avoiding too much additional weight, as that would in turn increase the drive shaft inertia.

The GMC S15 Jimmy Driveline incorporates one or more universal joints to allow for variations in the alignment and distance between the driving and driven components.
